Carl Edwards hopes that NASCAR

Even Carl Edwards, being one of her analysts, admitted that he wondered whether Nascar fans would know about the shift in sport for streaming for five races on Prime video or whether they would know how to access the races.

That was until he spoke to one of his neighbors.

“We talk about other things and he said:” Hey, you make a kind of television. “And I thought, you know, the 85 -year -old guy, and I have to explain it to him,” said Edwards. “And I started and he says: 'Oh yes. I have the Prime. I'll watch.'”

The first race of Prime Video on Sunday is the Coca-Cola 600. It is not only the longest race from NASCAR, it will also take place on the greatest day of motorsports with the Monaco Grand Prix from Formula 1 and the Indianapolis 500 before the green flag on the Charlotte Motor Speedway falls.

Prime Video has a seven -year contract with Nascar.

“We could not be more excited to start with a crown jewel (race). It is a great responsibility and we are happy to bring it to fans,” said Alex Strand, the high -ranking coordination producer of Prime Video for Live Sports. “What we have seen when we brought” Thursday evening -Fußball “to the Prime is that we spent a lot of time to ensure that we meet expectations. There is confidence that the audience makes them bring them the sport they love.”

Prime Video hopes to do this by receiving NBC Sports production aid that has had Nascar since 2015. The relationship from Prime to NBC returns to 2022 when it started “Sunday night football”.

On the stand, Adam Alexander is the Play-by-Play announcer for the XFinity series on the CW and the Cup series races on TNT.

Analysts Steve Letarte and Dale Earnhardt Jr. are reunited. Earnhardt Jr. was at NBC for six seasons (2018 to '23), while LetStart has been with NBC since 2015.

Alexander said his approach to the races was the same, regardless of the network.

“Just be a setup type for two analysts who obviously know it from the inside and outside, and can pass on the message to the fans of what is on the right track,” he said. “I think it would be easy for someone if you look at new partners who come into the sport that everything is changed. It immediately jumped out of my board with me that Prime has the balance between new, but also respect for the traditions that we are used to in the television world and how it fits Nascar.”

The only new faces are Edwards and Corey Lajoie who will be on the reporting before and after the race.

Many thought that Edwards would be analyst after retiring in 2017, but he resisted the overtures from various networks until the Prime video turned to him at the beginning of this year.

“Timing just feels right. I am shocked by how the sport greeted me back personally,” said Edwards, a 28-time winner of the Cup series. “I wasn't sure about it, but Prime visited me in Missouri and we were sitting around my kitchen table and talking to my family. I am glad that they came out. It will be an adventure.”

The Prime video will bring the races to your own touch. Green Flag Racing contains a double box advertising format that ensures that the audience does not miss any actions. There will also be highlights of key moments that enable spectators to make themselves.

With regard to in-race strategy innovations, Prime is still testing a few things while trying to continue what they have done during the NFL cover, which explains complex affairs in a simple way.

“I think people will find it. You will enjoy it. And hopefully it will just be something that all fans feel good about and have no swallowing,” said Edwards.
