The second weekend of the 2025 WNBA season will contain a marquee matchup on CBS. Defending champion New York Liberty will compete against Caitlin Clark and Indiana's new look.

New York took up where it stopped after the first title in Franchise history last season. The Liberty are unbeaten, both victories are double-digit and have a record recording with a 3-point shooting against the Chicago Sky.

In the first week of the season, some ups and downs were shown in Indiana. Clark had a triple double in her dominant victory over the sky in the opener, but since then they have shared a few nail books against Atlanta's dream. The fever enters this matchup with a 2: 1 data set.

Wolke affects freedom

In the low season, the Liberty gave up two picks in the first round to acquire Natasha Cloud from Connecticut Sun. While some may have raised the eyebrows for the price, freedom was confident that the experienced point guard could strengthen their risk of repetition.

The early returns indicate that Cloud can do exactly that. In two games she scored an average of 20 points, five rebounds and 8.5 assists, and freedom is plus-36 when it was on the pitch. She is also an elite perimeter defender and is probably commissioned to guard Caitlin Clark on Saturday.

New look fever is still trying to fit the pieces

The fever made a number of important additions in the low season and started a breathtaking start on the opening weekend with a 35-point destruction of the Chicago Sky. Since then, however, you have been very similar to a team with a new coach, two new starters and three new banking pieces.
