One dead after crash in Polk County

Polk County, Wisconsin (Weau) – The office of the Sheriff from Polk County received a report on a crash with several vehicles on Friday afternoon.

According to a press release from the Sheriff's office of Polk County, the crash occurred around 3:30 p.m. on Highway 35, south of 210th Ave and south of the village Milltown.

The traffic to the north had slowed down due to wild animals that crossed the highway. A pickup to the north broke out to avoid slowing down, but a vehicle struck, looked and drove to the south and collided head -on with an SUV. The driver of the SUV was declared dead at the crime scene. The driver of the pickup did not have life -threatening injuries and the driver of the vehicle on the background had minor injuries.

The name of the deceased driver will be published at a later date.

The crash is examined.
