The state playoffs are just around the corner when JSZ two games from the Diamond softball to start the Memorial Day weekend. St. Thomas Aquin and South Plainfield collide for the GMC tournament championship. Southern and Hammonton also go to the fight in a regular season finale without a conference. Liz Negron threw a complete game with 8 strikes and no deserved runs and began with a double with two runs in the first to give the Trojans their 11th GMC title, and revenge against South Plainfield (14: 4) last year. St. Thomas Aquinas (18-4) scored three runs in the first inn and won six of the last seven GMC titles.

The Blue Devils offered a lot of fireworks to achieve a quality victory against the RAMs in the regular season finale. Leah Alexander scored her second Homerun of the season and ended with four RBIs in victory. Kamryn Barker added a Two RBI triple for Hammonton (17-8). Kaedyn Lipowski drove in the lonely run of the day in the loss of south (15-8). Both teams are now turning the page to the state playoffs, which are supposed to start on Wednesday.
