Texas against Clemson softball score today: Live updates

After a 7: 4 defeat against Clemson in the first game of the Austin Super Regional series from NCAA Tournamn on Thursday, Texas Softball is about to excretion.

The sixth Texas (49-11) will have to win game at 8 p.m. on Friday at 8 p.m. if it hopes to force a third game on Saturday and to keep his hopes for a second place in a row in Women's College World Series. But the Longhorns have to play better than on Thursday against Hungry, Clemson (48-12), who has been aiming for his first WCWS-Platz since the beginning of the program in 2020.

The Texan defense had its problems in the first game with a few mistakes and several other mistakes, and Clemson also used a rare night for the Texas Ace Teagan Kavan, who gave up nine goals and five deserved runs in five innings before making Citlaly Gutierrez.

Texas scored 10 goals on the plate, but made nine runners and never seemed to get the key against a steady Clemson defense.

What changes will Texas trainer Mike White, if available, make to his squad? And who will get the starting nod in a circle for a Longhorn team with his collective back against the wall?

The bottom of the Texas orders goes quietly against Clemson Pitcher Brooke McCubbin, who has approved four goals and two runs in four innings.

Clemson's Julia Knowler tries to stretch a long leadoff single from the wall into a double, but Katie Stewart shows her arm in the left field and gets it out. Teagan Kavan takes care of the rest when we go to additional innings.

The third Baseman Alex Brown ends the Inning for Texas with a nice 5: 3 putout by Katie Stewart. Texas Pitcher Teagan Kavan will try to force additional innings.

Five batteries saw each other and five outs for Texas Pitcher Teagan Kavan, who, as the fourth Longhorn Pitcher, entered the game and put down things. Will she have a chance of winning? We will find out when Texas rises.

Two on and two with Kayden Henry on the plate, and Clemson Pitcher Brooke McCubbin gets the strike. Can Teagan Kavan stay hot?

The newcomer Macey Cintron breaks her 14th Homerun of the season over the wall from midfield to connect the game of Texas Pitcher Citlaly Gutierrez. No team flashes tonight. Teagan Kavan comes into play when Mike White plays all of his cards, even the ace. She enters second place with one and a runner and takes care of her business.

Clemson Pitcher Brooke McCubbin gets two quick outs, but goes Mia Scott and gives Reese Atwood an Infield Single that takes second place. With two on and two outs, Joley Mitchell hammered a 2-run double from the wall of the left field. The drama continues here in McCombs.

Texas Pitcher Citlaly Gutierrez ends the inning by inducing a pop-up of Julia Knowler, but Clemson has his first lead of the game. The pressure is shifted to the Texas listing, while Brooke McCubbin takes over in a circle for Clemson.

The move to Sophia Simpson does not work. She throws eight balls and a strike and spends an RBI walk to Maddie Moore for Clemson's go-aahead run. Citlaly Gutierrez comes into play with invited bases and two outs.

With two on and without outs, Leihann Gode plays another brilliant game by depriving Taylor Pipkins of a hit, but the Tigers connect the score on an Infield -Rbi -Single by Jamison Brockenbrough. This is all for the newcomer Cambria Salmon, who gets standing ovation after he has only allowed six goals and three runs (so far). The surprises remain for Texas coach Mike White; Here Sophia Simpson rarely comes out in relief with two up and two.

Reese Atwood has a high -towering shot that looked like a safe Homer in the left field, only foul. She twitches and brings a Homer to the fans on the catwalk behind the left wall wall. This solo shot left the park in a hurry. How will Mike White handle his pitching for the rest of the game?

Alex Brown leads with a single for Clemson and Maddie Moore with a towering Homer over the wall from midfield. This couple did it all season.

A beautiful piece by Clemson RF Taylor Pipkins deprives Kayden Henry from a single, and the tigers keep playing a good defense behind Pitcher Reese Basinger.

Cambria -Lachs blows past Kylee Johnson with a rose ball to emphasize a swinging strikeout and the third. The newcomer only allowed two goals through two innings for Texas.

Leighan's Goode stays hot. The Texas Infieldder, who pulled up a place to 7th place in the line-up, hits a scorcher over the left wall wall to provide Texas a 2-0 lead. This is her third Homer of the NCAA tournament.

The redesigned defensive -Infield does a good job, which gets one out with SS Leighan Gooden and 2b Kaydee Bennett. Clemson's Julia Knowler gets a 2-out-Single, but a strong inning from the Texas newcomer Cambria-Lachs.

Texas trainer Mike White said his squad needed a quick start, but they don't understand it. Ashton Maloney gets a leadoff single, but that's it. A pop-up in Foul Territory from Reese Atwood ends the frame.

Texas trainer Mike White makes some changes in this Win-Oxstay Home game for his Longhorns. When he interpreted after the late game of the last night, he pulled Katie Stewart back to the left after fighting three mistakes with three mistakes in the last four games. Leighan Good moves from the second base to Shortstop and Kaydee Bennett moves from left to the second basis. It is a defensive orientation that Texas used most of the season. Goode has already played 45 games at SS this season, Bennett started at 2B for 38 games and Stewart started 31 games in the left field. Oh, and the starting jug of Cambria Salmon, the newcomer, has not started since March 10th.
