How to watch Paul Reubens' Documentary 'Pee-Wee when he'

play

You know him as a “Pee-Wee Herman”, but in a new documentary he wants you to simply know him as Paul Reubens.

“Pee-Wee as he himself”, a two-part HBO series, shows one side of the beloved children's television star, which only a few have seen before. The HBO as a portrait of Reubens, which was painted by a “soul -swing interview”, promises the audience a look into the personal life of the man behind the character.

With 40 hours of interview material, which was taken before his death of cancer, archived film material, home videos and thousands of personal photos, the film examines everything from the childhood of Reubens, who grew up among the circus people in Florida together with Phil Hartman on the way during his time in the groundling Improv Comedy troop.

Under the direction of Matt Wolf, a fact that Reubens seemed to have a certain problem, the documentary does not draw any blows if they address everything from Pee-Wees origins to the later arrests of Reuben.

Here you can find out how to be observed.
