I finally tried the corner business: a popular NYC restaurant in NYC

At the end of last year I saw a picture of Taylor Swift outside of the corner business in New York City. Before Swift's appearance in the restaurant, I didn't even know that it existed, but you can leave it to the pop singer to place wherever she went on the card.

As you can probably imagine, the restaurant has become incredibly popular since Swift's visit – the line for the waiting list for bar seats that are wrapped around the block. Now it is almost impossible to receive a reservation. However, I was able to snap a table for two table and I have some thoughts.

How to get a table in the corner business

You may be wondering how you get a table in the corner business? For the beginning, the Corner Store does not accept walk-ins for tables, but have to book two weeks after the date on which they are visited. Reservations go quickly and it could take weeks, even months in which he consistently tried to grab a table.

It is possible to get a place at the bar when you wait in line. However, it was reported that the waiting time is between one and four hours for a time, depending on the season and the question of whether it is a weekend or weekday.

My first impressions of the corner business

When I entered, my first impression was that it was weakly illuminated and upscale, perfect for an appointment night or a special celebration. I could immediately say why Swift would dine here when visiting NYC, as it felt exclusive and increased.

The bar was right in front of and the main ice range. I was sitting in a spacious cabin towards the middle of the restaurant, and there were framed photos along the wall, which was a nice gesture. Shortly afterwards the server came over and gave us a brief overview of what we could expect from the night and worked out in the specials of the night.

Something to eat in the corner business

The corner memory describes the menu as uncomplicated with an element of nostalgia. It includes starter, raw fish, meat, main courses and desserts as well as an extensive beverage menu. I have neither tried the meat nor the raw fish. However, some popular picks are the seasonal crudo and bone-in New York Strip.

For the beginning I ordered the five-cheese pizza rolls. Imagine this as an increased version of your microwave and microwave pizza rolls with a crispy outer and a sticky, cheesy interior. They came with honey that I drizzled on it and added the sweetness and added the cheese aromas well.

I also have an order for the French fries and the Caesar salad of the corner business. I saw a lot of hype about the French fries on Tiktok and said that they were delicious and the best of all time. However, I thought that they were just okay. You weren't bad, but I don't think I would spend $ 13.95 for you again if I went back. On the other hand, the Caesar salad was incredible – so creamy, kitschy and simply divine with all the Bagel croutons.

For the main course I had the vegetarian corn. That was good, but I was not blown away and wished you had the opportunity to get a hen saving regularly. I also expected 36.95 US dollars that this would come with pasta and maybe a bread pencil, but it was a unique piece.

Last but not least, the dessert was my favorite part of the entire meal. I saw the Samoa Sundae on my Tikkok page and knew that I had to get it. It definitely lived up to the hype with the brown butter caramel, the coconut operator, the Valrhona chocolate fonded, the salted bridal and the roasted coconut. Although the Sundae was 23 US dollars, which is pretty steep, it was different from everything I ever had before that was worth the price.

I also ordered the apple -hand -pate, which were incredible with a sweet short bread crust and vanilla beans.

It is worth noting that the corner business has an expensive drinks menu with cocktails, wine, beer and zero -density options. According to the restaurant's website, they make all the ingredients for their cocktails, minus the alcohol. I don't drink, so I stayed with the water for my food. After what I could say, everyone seemed to enjoy their drinks all night.

Total idea

The invoice for my two -time group was 200 US dollars, including taxes and tips. We have not ordered drinks and my guest and I shared a starters to put it in the right perspective.

Overall, I had a good experience in the corner business and I am lucky enough to visit and try it out. The service was great and I didn't feel rushed at all – a welcome change from other popular NYC restaurants that are interested in turning tables at the expense of a customer's experience.

That means, would I return? Yes, but probably only for a special occasion, since it is very expensive and a problem to receive a reservation.
