Woman and three boys killed in the Brent House Fire, as a man was arrested in the scene

A woman and three children died in a devastating house fire in the northwest of London.

The emergency services were called on Saturday (May 24th) at 1.22 a.m. in Stonebridge, Brent, at 1.22 a.m. (May 24) after a fire broke out in a residential property.

A 43-year-old woman and three boys aged 15, eight and four years were declared dead at the crime scene.

Two other people were taken to the hospital by London Ambulance Service. Their conditions are not yet known.

A 41-year-old man was arrested in connection with the incident at the scene and remains in police custody.

An investigation is underway to determine the cause of the fire, whereby the metropolitan police and the London fire brigade work together at the crime scene.

The superintendent Steve Allen from the local police team of the Met in the northwest of London said: “This is an extremely tragic incident, and our thoughts are with everyone involved.

“The officials arrested a man at the crime scene and we continue to work with investigators from the London fire brigade to determine the cause of the fire. The emergency services are closed all day long in Tillett while these inquiries take place.”

The next relatives of the victims have been informed and the police appealed to anyone who has information to contact them.
